Attach a Central Vocabulary Database via DuckDB Zero-Copy Views — attach_central

Attaches an existing DuckDB database containing Athena vocabulary tables in read-only mode and registers zero-copy views, avoiding copying 10-15 GB of vocabulary tables into each site CDM database.

Usage

attach_central_vocabulary(con, vocab_db_path, temporary = TRUE)

Arguments

con: Active DuckDB DBI connection.
vocab_db_path: Path to the existing DuckDB database containing vocabulary tables.
temporary: Logical. If TRUE (default), creates temporary views for the current session. If FALSE, creates persistent views in the database.
